Harwood Center

The Harwood Center is a private nonprofit agency that provides education, therapy, and support for Mid-South families and children with developmental disabilities. Since 1957, they have assisted over 6,000 children in achieving a better start in life. Their program offers therapeutic services for children aged 2 through transition to kindergarten who have diagnosed developmental disabilities or are experiencing developmental delays or behavior challenges. Services are primarily delivered at their clinic at the University of Memphis by a qualified staff including licensed special education teachers and board certified behavior analysts. Their mission is to help children reach their full potential by learning functional skills to enhance their development, with ongoing training and support provided to families.
