Harwood Center

The Harwood Center is a private nonprofit agency that provides education, therapy, and support for Mid-South families and children who have developmental disabilities. Since 1957, they have helped over 6,000 children with developmental disabilities to achieve a better start in life. Their program includes therapeutic services for children aged 2 through transition to kindergarten who have diagnosed developmental disabilities or are experiencing developmental delays or behavior challenges. Services are primarily offered at their clinic at the University of Memphis, delivered by a qualified staff including licensed special education teachers and board certified behavior analysts. Their mission is to help children reach their full potential by learning functional skills to enhance their development.
